What people say….

Virginia, Swansea Jun 2025

We wanted a short break and found somewhere perfect – a comfy cottage in a quiet spot near Brecon. Just what we were looking for. Warmly welcomed by Susie and Noel we soon absorbed the setting and impressive stone buildings. We enjoyed our first drink in the little garden accompanied by the chickens, had our morning coffee by the side of the river listening to the birds and babbling river, even catching a glimpse of the kingfisher. We enjoyed staying in the cottage admiring Noel’s craftsmanship and Susie’s objet d’art. A super place and break – thanks Susie and Noel.

Philippa, Chepstow Oct 2025

Perfect location, incredibly peaceful with just the sound of the rushing river and occasional owl at night! Very cosy, clean, well set up and comfortable space in the Granary, with a toasty gas faux logburner and a deep bath for weary walkers! Excellent, friendly hosts on hand if you need anything (like fresh eggs from the hens!) An ideal base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. Highly recommended.

Tim, Burradoo, New South Wales Sep 2025

Priory Mill Farm is a real gem just a short drive outside Brecon. We spent 3 nights here in beautiful, and very unique, historic surroundings among the old granary buildings that Susie and Noel have been lovingly and painstakingly restoring to a working mill. Their hospitality was very generous and it was awe inspiring to see what they have achieved so far. The cottage accommodation was delightful and comfortable. We hope to return to see that water wheel turning!

Isobel, Bristol  Aug 2025

The Priory Mill cottage is just the loveliest place to stay! Perfectly located alongside the river, a peaceful, gorgeous setting. The cottage itself is wonderful, really well equipped, and beautifully furnished. Susie and Noel are very welcoming hosts and I would highly recommend booking a stay here.

Francesca, New York  Jul 2025

Susie and Noel are gracious friendly hosts. The Granary was spacious, charming, clean and very comfortable. The entire Priory Mill Campus was beautiful, interesting, peaceful and it was easy to feel at home while staying there.

Arunas, Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada  Jun 2025

What a wonderful natural refuge so close to town yet feeling like it is in a world of its own. The hospitality we received was exceptional from the time we arrived to when it was time to go. Hearing the flow of the river, songs of the birds put ones mind at ease. Would love to come back some day!

Helen and Brian, Cardiff  Feb 2025

Perfect cottage, the online photos really don’t do the cottage true justice. Extremely clean, tidy and comfortable set in a wonderful, beautiful, peaceful and quiet area, with woodland walks on the doorstep and all the amenities of Brecon town centre just 3/4 of a mile away. Hosts are welcoming, lovely and friendly. 10 out of 10 will definitely revisit.
